In classic bistro style, you enter on the green side of a recently built office building. On their porch, you will discover a modern euro-flavor that evokes the spices and textures of Mediterranean cuisine, with local ingredients, here in Pereira, Colombia.


For a little flavor to excite the tongue, share your meal with a friend or two, and prepare for the main course – here are a few of the plates available:

  • Chorizos in Pesto w/roasted tomatoes.
  • Sicilian Mussels
  • Mediterranean Style Octopus
  • Asparagus a la Greek
  • Creamy Garden Soup

In this occasion we tasted their Asparagus a la Greek. The plate featured soft steamed asparagus spears wrapped in cured ham with a dash of himalayan rock sea salt and a coffee reduction sauce on the side. The asparagus was well-selected crunchy, and soft, with nothing fibrous or chewy.


A new addition to their previous menu, you can now order a mediterranean style salad or…. We found it to be full of color, variety and balance, with fresh greens and lettuce.

Main Plates

The refreshing part of a limited selection menu is being able to cut your options down to several really well curated plates, versus a long list of options with minute stylistic differences or too many ingredient combinations to choose from. Even the most picky eater will be forced to make up his/her mind within a reasonable time frame.

  • Punta de Anca cut of Pork with herb butter.
  • Beef Medallions with herb butter.
  • Fish of the Day
  • Risotto with Shrimp and Asparagus.
  • Pasta with Beef Bolongnese sauce.
  • Fettucini a la Salmon

Pictured is the catch of the day on a bed of sautéed vegetables. We tried the fettuccini al Salmon. Don’t let the optical illusion of the plate throw you off, it is a well balanced portion of perfectly cooked salmon, on a creamy bed of fettuccini, and sprinkled with broccoli sprouts. It was the perfect portion size for one, or two if you have a relatively small appetite. Suggestion: If you are feeling extra hungry, order the asparagus appetizer we mentioned above – you won’t be disappointed!


Feeling that mid-afternoon sweet tooth? Come by any time after lunch to enjoy a quiet afternoon out of the sun! WiFi is available onsite if you need to catch up on a couple of projects while you enjoy tea or coffee and one of their scrumptious desserts.

  • Oreo Trifle, with cream cheese and blueberries.
  • Maracuya cheesecake.

In this occasion we tried their Oreo Trifle, the bright intensity of the blueberries, toned down by the cream cheese mousse, yet intrigued by a chocolate cream. This is a great portion size for one person, yet can be split comfortably by two people if you are aren’t accustomed to eating much dessert. The Maracuya Cheesecake is a generous portion ideal for sharing.


The beauty of this place is the sheer simplicity of their menu and drink options. You will have everything at your fingertips, but you won’t be overloaded with choices.

Pick from coffee in the main basic preparation styles: Cappuccino, American or Espresso. Choose your favorite high quality individually packaged tea bags with gourmet flavors. Accompany your dinner with a wine spritzer, gin and tonic, beer or juice/soda.

Selva Bistro Restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday. Almuerzo Ejecutivo, or Executive Lunch is available for 16,000 COP from 12:00 – 2:30 PM. Daily menu. Call for domicilio, or for reservations.
